Viewing History
In addition to formal audit reports, InSched provides interactive tools for exploring how the schedule has changed over time.
View Schedule As In The Past
Select View > View Schedule As In The Past from the menu.
This feature lets you quickly see how the schedule appeared at a specific moment in the past. The schedule display updates to show the historical state, using the audit trail to reconstruct what was visible at that time.
Quick Jump Buttons
| Button | Effect |
|---|---|
| Now | Return to the current schedule |
| 1 Hour Ago | Show the schedule one hour ago |

The dialog shows your current viewing point: "Showing schedule as of Now" or "Showing schedule as of [date/time]."
Time Machine
For more detailed historical investigation, use the Time Machine (View > Time Machine). The Time Machine provides all the capabilities of View Schedule As In The Past, plus:
- An audit grid showing every change point with timestamp, operator, and station
- Click on any audit entry to see the schedule at that exact moment
- A Show Detail panel showing formatted reports of what changed at each point
- The ability to step through changes one by one
See Time Machine for complete details.

Activity List
InSched also maintains an Activity List (View > View Activity List) that shows a log of actions taken in the system. This is separate from the audit trail and provides a higher-level view of system activity.
To Do List
The To Do List (View > To Do List) tracks tasks and follow-up items. While not strictly an audit feature, it helps ensure that important actions are not forgotten.
