Recent Communications

The Recent Communications view provides a unified log of all communications with patients, including emails, text messages, portal messages, and other contact records.

Accessing Recent Communications

Select View > View Recent Communications from the menu.

Communication Log

The grid displays all recent communications with columns including:

Comm DateDate of the communication
Comm TimeTime of the communication
Last NamePatient's last name
First NamePatient's first name
Patient IDPatient identifier
NoteContent or summary of the communication
Note IDAssociated note reference
Treatment IDRelated treatment plan

Filtering

Use the Number of Days To Show control to set how many days of history to display. Click Apply to update the view with the selected date range.

Communication Types Tracked

The Recent Communications view captures:

  • Emails sent from InSched
  • Text messages sent via PatientConnection
  • Portal messages sent and received
  • Automated survey emails
  • Appointment confirmations received from patients
  • Lead responses sent to potential patients

Using Communication History

Patient Follow-Up

Review recent communications with a patient before their appointment to understand what has been discussed.

Staff Oversight

Monitor communication activity to ensure follow-up tasks are being completed.

Audit and Compliance

Maintain a record of all patient communications for regulatory compliance and dispute resolution.
