Text Messaging
InSched integrates with the PatientConnection service to send SMS text messages to patients using the practice's main phone number. This provides a professional, HIPAA-aware communication channel for appointment reminders, follow-up messages, and general patient communication.
Sending a Text Message
The Text Message dialog provides a simple interface:
- Cell Phone Number - The patient's mobile phone number (pre-filled if the patient has a cell phone on file)
- Message - The text content (up to 1,600 characters)
- Send - Send the message
- Cancel - Discard without sending
