Updating InSched to Version 26

If a computer already has Inform and InSched installed, you can update it to the most current version 26 of InSched. If Inform and InSched are not yet installed on the computer, install them first — see Installing Inform and InSched.

Running the Updater​

From the computer to be updated, find and double-click InSchedUpdater.exe (which you can obtain from Diego Software, LLC, and which can be stored on the server) and follow the steps, including reviewing and accepting the license.

Read the notifications as you go. InSchedUpdater.exe will:

  1. Back up the InSched folder to a time-stamped folder
  2. Make a copy of that InSched folder
  3. Update the application files in that InSched folder
  4. Rename that updated InSched folder to "InSched" within the InformApp folder

:::tip Rolling back Because the InSched folder is backed up, you can always roll back to your previous InSched version by moving the backed-up folder back to InformApp\InSched. :::

No Database Update Needed​

You do not need to update the database on the server to use the most current version 26 of InSched.
