Leads Management Overview

InSched includes a leads management system for tracking potential new patients who submit inquiries through your website or marketing campaigns. Leads flow from online forms into InSched, where staff can review, respond to, and convert them into patient records.

What Is a Lead?

A lead is a potential patient who has expressed interest in your services but has not yet been converted into a full patient record. Leads typically come from:

  • Website contact forms
  • Online marketing campaigns
  • Search engine advertising
  • Social media inquiries
  • Referral partner submissions

Accessing Leads

Select View > Leads or the Leads option from the appropriate menu to open the Leads management dialog.

Key Features

  • Automatic capture of web form submissions
  • Review and prioritize incoming inquiries
  • Respond directly via email without leaving InSched
  • Import leads into the patient database when they convert
  • Track all communication with each lead
  • Assign leads to specific staff members for follow-up
  • Default plan configuration for imported leads

Integration with PatientConnection

Leads are received through the PatientConnection service, which connects your website forms to InSched. When a potential patient submits a form on your website, the information is transmitted securely to InSched and appears in the Leads dialog for staff to process.

Configure the default plan for imported leads in Preferences > Synchronization > Default Plan for Internet Lead.
