Online Payments
If your practice offers online payment, the Billing tab lets you pay securely by card from the portal.
Payment requests
When the practice requests a payment — for example, a surgical deposit or a balance due — it appears under Requested by the practice, with the amount and what it's for. Some requests are for a fixed amount; others let you edit the amount (for example, to make a partial payment). Requests can expire, and the practice can also send the same request as a secure link by email or text — see it from either place.
Where the practice allows it, a Pay another amount option lets you make a payment of your own choosing, with a description of what it's for.
Paying by card
Payment is by credit or debit card, entered in a secure form provided directly by the payment processor — the practice's website never sees or stores your card number. Your name and billing address are pre-filled from your profile, and you can change them. After a successful payment you'll see a confirmation, and a receipt is emailed to you.
A payment can't be accidentally charged twice — if your connection drops and you resubmit, the processor recognizes the retry.
Payment history
Payment history lists your portal payments with the amount, date, card last four digits, and status, so you always have a record of what you've paid online.
Online payment appears only when your practice has enabled it. If you don't see the Billing tab, contact the practice to pay by phone or in person.
