Printing the Schedule
InSched provides flexible printing options for generating reports of scheduled events. You can print appointment lists, graphical schedule views, and superbills.
Print Types
InSched offers three main categories of printing, each available from the File menu:
Print List
Generates a text-based list report of events. This is the most versatile print option.
Select File > Print List to open the Print Events dialog.
Report Options
Report Type - Choose from multiple formats:
- Standard Report
- Detailed Report
- Referral Report
- Superbill (multiple versions)
- Labels (Avery 5160, 5161)
- Custom User Reports
Date Range - Set the start and end dates for the report.
Filters:
- Resources - Select specific resources to include
- Locations - Select specific locations to include
- Event Types - Choose which event types to include
Options:
- Separate Page per Day - Put each day on its own page
- Include Plan - Include treatment plan information
- Print Barcode - Include patient barcodes
Output:
- Preview - View the report on screen before printing
- Print - Send directly to the printer
- Export - Save as PDF, RTF, or text
Print Graphic
Generates a graphical representation of the schedule, similar to what you see on screen.
Select File > Print Graphic to print the current schedule view.
Save Graphic File
Select File > Save Graphic File to save the current schedule view as an image:
- Save Graphic to JPEG - Save as a JPEG image file
- Save Graphic to PDF - Save as a PDF document
Print Superbills
Select File > Print Superbills to generate superbill forms for billing purposes.
Printer Setup
Each print type has its own printer setup:
- File > Print List Setup - Configure the printer for list reports
- File > Print Graphic Setup - Configure the printer for graphic prints
- File > Print Superbills Setup - Configure the printer for superbills
You can also set up the report printer from Setup > Report Printer.
Tips
- Use Preview before printing to verify the output
- The Detailed Report includes all event information, notes, and details
- Use the Event Type filter to print reports for specific appointment categories (e.g., surgeries only)
- The Label format is useful for generating mailing labels for patient reminders
- Graphic prints reflect your current view settings (zoom, resources shown, time range)
